Background
I enjoy art in many forms: drawing in pencil, ink, pastels; painting in acrylic and oils; carving in wood; crafting Tiffany styled lampshades and stained glass windows. I now use photography combined with digital post processing and painting software to create digital artwork and portraiture.
People
I love the intimacy of portrait photography in the studio or on location. Capturing the essence of the spirit that will last forever. Exploring how lighting changes the character and shape of individual features allows us to portray who we are or imagine we can become. Theatrical costumes and settings transform the realities of time and place.
Places
Travel photography enriches the soul and invigorates the spirit. I love to visit new locations and explore familiar settings with a new eye. The ever changing landscape provides a sense of belonging with nature. Combining photography with enhanced technology brings a fresh perspective to the world around us.
